Christakis, MD, PhD have crafted a health and safety plan that will allow you to explore Antarctica with the feelings of freedom, confidence, and adventure that are the hallmarks of our Antarctica experience. Our team will continually monitor the situation on the ground and recommendations from organizations like the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). These protocols may evolve as necessary.


All passengers, crew, and staff will be required to have a full course of an approved vaccine with at least 1 booster shot.


All passengers must have a negative PCR test within 3 days of the trip start date. We strongly recommend getting tested prior to arriving.


Always-circulating fresh air to each cabin, sanitized common spaces, and a certified practicing emergency MD on duty 24/7.

Should you choose not to travel up to 30 days before your departure date, you will receive 100% credit to use on a voyage that departs within 24 months of your original voyage. No cancellation or rebooking fees apply.


If you are unable to travel or are denied boarding due to PL’s health and safety protocols, quarantine requirement upon arrival into Argentina, or a government travel ban; or if you test positive for COVID** within 30 days of departure, our Rebook Guarantee will apply.
