MS Seaventure
A Small but Mighty Ship
The MS Seaventure was custom built for both the challenges and opportunities that only Antarctica can offer. Its size is formidable enough to deliver a supreme level of comfort and safety even in challenging seas, yet small enough to provide a superior level of personalized service, casual luxury, and flawless access to all things Antarctica.
- A ship built for Antarctic waters
- Highest ice rating
- Small-ship, personalized luxury
- Full wrap-around viewing deck
- Multiple outdoor event spaces
- Oversized viewing windows throughout
- Multiple dining areas, gym, sauna
Going Where Other Ships Can’t
Antarctica is a uniquely challenging environment, one that Seaventure is supremely prepared for. Its state-of-the-art stabilizing system provides safe, comfortable passage through even rough seas, and its ice rating is second-to-none in these waters. This means Seaventure can usher you into places (and amazing experiences) that regularly turn away lesser ships.
Antarctica is Always Front and Center
Seaventure features an outer viewing deck that circles the entire ship, and an outdoor dining area and heliport where we host events whenever weather permits. Indoors, our elegant dining areas and spacious presentation room surround you with oversized windows, so you’ll never have to miss a passing iceberg or an impromptu sighting of a Humpback or school of Orcas. Even our treadmills and ellipticals keep your eyes trained on the mesmerizing Antarctic landscape.
Caring For a Fragile Environment
When Polar Latitudes replaced our previous ships with Seaventure three years ago, we reduced our per-passenger emissions by 20%, a critical factor in the decision. Onboard, we’ve reduced the use of plastic by 50% over the last 3 years, with a goal of zero unrecycled plastic by 2025. Even our expedition jackets, produced by Shackleton of London, will be 100% recycled by the ’24-‘25 season.

What Are People Saying?
Simply Out of This World
This experience equals and exceeds any of our prior expedition voyages. The ship was beautiful, the hotel staff were wonderful and attentive, the crew kept us safe even in some rough seas, and the expedition staff was simply out of this world.
Smaller Ship Size
An outstanding expedition. …We chose Polar Latitudes because we liked the smaller ship size and adventure options.
Small Ship Experience
This has been our 1st smaller ship/expedition experience and we loved every minute. It was so special to sit down with the crew members at mealtime and get to know them, even the Captain mingled with passengers (and washed boots), this is something we have never seen on the big ship cruises.
Best Cruise Ever
I’ve been on about six big ship cruises and two river cruises, so when I say this was the BCE (Best Cruise Ever) it’s the highest compliment I can manage.
Great Adventure
There are not enough good things to say about the ship, the expedition team, the crew, the safety, the comfort, and mostly the great adventure that unfolded for us thanks to all of their efforts.
Trip was Flawless
The trip was flawless – absolutely no glitches with hotels or ship operations. Excellent food. Very friendly and helpful staff, both expedition team and ship staff. We were astonished at the quality and diversity of backgrounds of the expedition team.
